A nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people. John F. Kennedy

That's Natural! & The Good American Post - Where Sustainability Meets Capitalism
What breaks my heart is to see the right-left paradigm that completely transcends the will of “the people”. When you are a “greenie” and you love to recycle, eat organic, grow a garden, and protect natural resources, you are often thrown into the “left/liberal” camp. When you are a “capitalist” and you love to make money, spend money, and utilize resources to do that you are thrown into the “right/conservative” camp. But wait. Don’t people on both sides of the aisle love the environment and want to protect it (e.g. environmentalists and hunters/fishers)? Don’t people on both sides of the aisle agree that conserving resources is good for business and budgeting (e.g. recycling paper, electronics, steel, etc.)?
The answer is “yes”. Most people want to protect the land, water, air, and energy resources that we have as a country and most people want to grow an economy which fuels the use and protection of these. Believe it or not, these two things go hand in hand – economic growth and conservation. What we must remember is that people’s individual rights and liberties must be protected, a free market must ensue, and the laws that we have exist for lawful defense of a person and their property. If we remain true to that, we remain true to the future generations that must live in this country – and that is the goal for all of us, isn’t it?

The Environmental Protection Agency's carbon regulation push continues, but apparently abusing the clean-air laws of the 1970s to achieve goals Congress rejected isn't enough. A few months ago, the EPA made an unprecedented move to punish Texas for being the one state with the temerity to challenge its methods.
